I made aliyah by myself, and I wanted a companion here in Israel.  I found the shelter, and visited it several times, falling in love with a different dog each time.  On the fourth visit, I saw Lily.  She was a very pretty older pup, and she reminded me of a beloved dog of mine that had passed away.  But I knew she was the dog for me when she cleverly stole some food from another dog, and quickly hid under a trailer.  Yes!  She is a smart one!  Now we live together with a few cats that worship her, and she and I run my errands together, on foot or on the bus.  People often want to pet her and say ''''Ezeh hamoood!''''  She''''s my good girl.
